(Senior) Biostatistician (m/f)
we are looking for a motivated biostatistician for our existing team of data analysis experts in Pharma Research:
Start/Duration: ASAP- 6 months (option for extension)
Location: South Germany/Munich area
Tasks:
statistical analysis in projects from target identification to proof of concept, with an emphasis on translational medicine projects using high dimensional molecular data
work within interdisciplinary project teams
provide consultancy and service on request for projects
design of experiments, power analysis and development of statistical analysis plans, general exploratory data analysis and statistical modelling (analysis of in vivo-, bioassay-, longitudinal data and genetic data in particular)
Qualifications:
you have strong expertise in statistical genetics (GWAS, e-QTL, NGS-based data analysis and candidate gene approaches)
MSc or PhD degree in statistics or mathematics as well as a comprehensive knowledge of biostatistics.
At least 2 years experience in the biotech/pharma industry
strong background in standard statistical analysis methodologies and proficient in statistical programming with tools such as R/Bioconductor, S-Plus, SAS or SAS/JMP.
Ideally essential knowledge in biology and genetics as well as bioinformatics tools and common annotation sources
you are able to translate the scientists requirements into statistical problem formulation
fluent in spoken German & English
