Für unseren Kunden aus dem Automotive-Zulieferer-Sektor suchen wir im Großraum Kaiserslautern ab sofort einen Tooling Engineer
Aufgaben:
This position is responsible for all injection molding tools for components. This includes a close cooperation with Design Engineering department to judge and advice about design feasibility. Based on customer RFQ`s, tooling layout has to be decided, tool costs have to be calculated, tooling specifications have to be created, RFQ´s have to be sent to purchasing department. In addition the position is responsible for making sure all tools are built according to our clients tooling standard and best practice.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide information about part feasibility to Design Engineering.
- Define Tooling layouts based on part design, related processes and according to best practice.
- Create Tooling Specifications for RFQ`s
- Monitor and control each step of tool building phase, from DFM`s to finished and released tools
- Make sure, our clients Global Tooling Standard is applied
- Actively support manufacturing locations worldwide
- Support Cost Calculation Team with tooling costs input
- Support costs reduction activities by establishing state of the art processes and simplifying products.
- Continuous Improvement activities such as evaluation and optimization of existing processes
- Continuously work on improving our clients Global Tooling Standard for Components
- Special tasks in AME
Skills:
Key Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry
- Excellent knowledge about injection molding tools and molding process
- Strong communications skills and excellent team worker
- Excellent self motivation skills
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Good computer skill (Catia, UG, MS-Office)
- Must be able to work under time pressure
- Intercultural skills
- Willingness to travel (50% of time)
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or its equivalent.
- Experienced in cost estimation for injection molding tools
- Very good knowledge of manufacturing systems and practices in plastic injection molding
- Experience of working in multinational teams
- Familiar with Quality Standards like ISO/TS 16949
- Skilled toolmaker would be an advantage
