Für unseren Kunden aus dem Automobil-Zulieferer-Sektor suchen wir im Großraum Kaiserslautern ab sofort einen Manufacturing Engineer.
Aufgaben:
Overall Purpose of Job:
The main purpose of this position is to industrialize successfully new projects, starting from the development of the manufacturing concept, going through, technology selection, equipment specifications development and finalizing with the implementation and validation of the manufacturing process.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide information about the manufacturability of the designed part to Product Development Engineers and Tooling Engineers.
- Participate in DFM’s reviews and evaluate potential process risks.
- Define the optimal process concept and layout by defining the required process cycle time, process steps, technology required, line balancing, mistake proofing points, material flow, etc.
- Develop the manufacturing process under lean principles.
- Test and validate new equipment considering our equipment standards.
- Fulfill the requested documentation and track the main project milestones together with the launch team.
- Communicate constantly with the industrial engineering teams at the final manufacturing location to ensure the proper transfer and process implementation.
- Actively support manufacturing locations worldwide
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry
- Excellent knowledge in the design, implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of the lean manufacturing principles and design for manufacturing.
- PFMEA and mistake proofing.
- Structured approach to define the right process parameters and understand process capabilities
- Strong communications skills and excellent team worker
- Excellent self motivation skills
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Good computer skill (CAD visor, MS-Office)
- Must be able to work under time pressure
- Intercultural skills
- Willingness to travel (50% of time)
Education and Experience:
- Technical or Engineering degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in the industrialization of new projects, specially in manual and semiautomatic assembly, screwing, welding, etc (general joining technologies)
- Experienced in process set up, process validation and process optimization.
- Experience in statistical / problem solving tools for the process analysis would be a plus for this position.
- Experience in working in multinational teams
- Familiar with Quality / APQP standards like ISO/TS 16949
