Tätigkeit:For one of our clients from the finance sector we are currently looking for a Linux administrator (f/m). The position includes the following tasks: installation of Linux/Unix operating system on physical and virtual servers through kickstart, jumpstart or flash technology, system management (upgrading, patching and tuning), problem investigation and performance management, installation and upgrade of third party products, configuration and support of veritas volume manager and veritas cluster server, maintain and ensure high-availability on server or application level. Required skills: university degree in information technology or equivalent. Technical skills in the following domains are essential: expertise in RedHat 5/6 with appropriate certification, expertise in veritas volume manager and cluster server, expertise in solaris10/11 administration with appropriate certification, min. 5 years in system administration in a highly critical environment. Additional skills: knowledge of OpenVMS, knowledge of AIX, knowledge of infiniband network for low latency applications, good knowledge of Sun SPARC, HP x86, HP itanium platforms. The following interpersonal skills are essential: fluency in German and English, good communication skills, ability to work in a team, ability to work in a highly critical production environment and willingness to get expertise on new technologies. Project asap. Project duration: 3 months (with option of extension). Assignment location: Rhine/main area.
