For our client in Karlsruhe, Germany we are currently looking for a Embedded Systems Engineer (m/w) to join on a freelance basis.
Project Start: ASAP
Project duration: 6 months ++
Location: Karlsruhe
Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with an expert team to support in-circuit/in-system measurements at the target HW, debugging under Real Time conditions and system bring-up using debug and measurement tools like data acquisition, DSO, Logic and Protocol Analyzers.
- Modify, adapt and build existing Linux configurations (Kernel, drivers) for the hardware, bring-up and test parts of the hardware as well as software.
- Extend a Python based test framework to support testing new interfaces and devices.
- Handle interfaces used in automotive environment like UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, SATA, Ethernet, USB and PCIe.
Skills required:
- A strong analytical mind with first-rate problem solving skills.
- Experienced in Embedded Linux environment
- Knowledge of Embedded interfaces and their specifications.
Qualifications
- Automotive or industrial work experience.
- Linux 32- & 64-bit experience.
- Excellent skills and practice in programming in C, C++ for Embedded systems.
- Programming skills in Python script language is an advantage.
- Debugging skills and practice in the use of debugging tools and hardware measurement equipment.
- Experience in the domain of control interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, and SATA is of advantage.
- Good communication skills in English written and spoken.
