Beschreibung

The role of the UNIX Administrator is to support and maintain the existing UNIX infrastructure at DG/IS ENS
in the Test and Development Network and facilitate the required changes for DARWIN and TDM.

We expect
Excellent knowledge of Solaris 10 including
- Service Management Facility (SMF)
- Starting and stopping of services
- Retrieving and replacing manifests
- Debugging of services
- Zone concept
- Starting and stopping zones
- Exchange between global and local zones
- SUN Cluster 3 administration
- Starting and stopping resources
- Creating and removing cluster controls
- Creating and debugging monitoring probes
- Storage administration
- Adding and removing of LUNs
- Retrieving and changing ZFS settings
- Adding and removing ZPools
- Creating and removing snapshots
- LDAP
- Performance indicators
- Knowledge of memory management
- Knowledge of I/O statistics
- Basic knowledge of package management
- Installing packages
- Removing packages
- Sound knowledge of shell scripting, Perl would be an advantage

An advantage would be knowledge in
- Apache Web Server
- Apache Tomcat
- stunnel
- Certificate rollout for different server components
- Creating of key pairs
- Creating key stores
- Creating of certificate requests
- Handling key chains
- IBM Tivoli storage manager (file systems backup)
- RMAN


Expected Tasks

- Recurrent tasks
- General administration of Solaris systems in Tadnet (5 physical servers, 100+ zones) in collaboration with other ECB experts.
- Specify and request the build of Solaris zones based on specifications received by other teams (e.g. projects),
coordinating with the DAC operators to ensure the delivery of the expected machines.
- Deploy software packages into Tadnet systems based on instructions received from other teams;
perform a validation of the installation guides, Solaris packages and scripts, update documentation and provide feedback
to project teams.
- Manage the renewal and installation of certificates in Tadnet, produce and update hand-over documentation for use by
DAC operators.
- Specific one-off tasks
- Contribute with Expert knowledge to the design of improvements to the integration of OpenText applications with the
Solaris infrastructure, namely at the level of the ZFS file systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of the integration of the application with the existing backup methodology based on TSM.

Anforderung:
Sun OS / Solaris ++++ (excellent), > 4 yrs.
LDAP +++ (good), 2-4 yrs.
RMAN ++++ (excellent), > 4 yrs.
TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) +++ (good), 2-4 yrs.
