On behalf of our client, an international bank, Dietzel & Company is looking for aIT Business Analyst – Data protection (m/f)
Overview
The bank is regulated by hundreds of legal and regulatory authorities, which regularly request data.
In order to respond to an increasing number of regulatory enquiries, they rely on a current (and growing) population of documents, trades and emails exchanged each day, and countless other mechanisms to create, store and retrieve records.
The client’s department has been established with the vision of providing timely, complete and accurate responses to information requests in all jurisdictions while retaining and disposing of information in compliance with legal, regulatory and business requirements.
Success of the department’s vision is critical to improving the bank's regulatory compliance, increasing our responsiveness to data requests, and establishing sustainable performance based on best-in-class, standardized, information and records management practices.
In relation to the impending EU regulation the department has determined that they need a review and analysis of the current technology landscape and processes to ensure that they meet the requirements of the regulation.
A project has been setup to support the initiation and investigation phases.
Key Responsibilities
• Review the technology and process landscape to identify impact.
• Determine for each of the above the individual requirements necessary to demonstrate compliance.
• Assist in developing and approach and project charter for the specialised area.
• Analyze data lifecycle within eDiscovery, Records Management and Archiving
• Evaluate change against current compliance requirements within the bank
• Manage the delivery of technical solutions where required
• Ensures remediation and closure of complex problems
• Collaborate with the wider initiative within the bank to ensure alignment and oversight
• Work with stakeholders to leverage best practice and lessons learnt
• Where possible identify quick wins within existing projects to ensure inclusion of compliance requirements
• Ensures appropriate senior management awareness/oversight of follow-up on action items on Internal and/or External Audit topics.
Required – Skills & Experience
• 5+ years experience in Project management and Business Analysis
• Relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas. The technical area could be but is not limited to: Compliance and risk management, eDiscovery and Records management, Data Protection law, Safe Harbor, conceptual knowledge of a wide range of technologies such as messaging and voice platforms.
• Knowledge of business analysis best practice
• Experience within a tier1 banking experience ideally banking application environments
• Excellent team leader, able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization.
• Extensive analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving.
• Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
• Able to work in fast paced environment.
• Self confidence
Required – Competencies
• A Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in IT or Computer Science related discipline (equivalent diploma or technical faculty)
• In addition, the following education/certification attainment will be beneficial: PMP or Prince2, Data Protection Certification would be advantageous, Optional previous eDiscovery PM knowledge.
• Fluent in English (written/verbal)
• German would be advantageous
