A fst growing scale-up in the Med-Tech space is freelance Senior Data EngineerYou will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the company's data infrastructure and systems.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration workflows to enable efficient data processing.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and providing effective data engineering solutions.
• Creating and implementing data models and database schemas to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implementing data governance and security practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Identifying and resolving data-related issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering to enhance the company's data infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on complex data projects and building data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and DBT.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as BigQuery, or equivalent platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, data warehousing, data modeling, database design, and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools like Jenkins, Apache Airflow, or Prefect.
• Experience with data architecture concepts and various data storage formats (e.g., CSV, JSON, Parquet) and data lake environments.
