Description:
- Provide designs & amp; documentation for an observability platform for an
on-premises cloud infrastructure that is
compliant with EDP architecture standards
- Work with technology principal architects to design, implement and integrate
an observability platform to span
compute, network, storage and DevOps technology spaces
- Clearly articulate technologies, designs, design options and justify decisions
confidently to the Infrastructure
Lead Architect
- Create an implementation roadmap and identify work packages and bring them to
execution
Targets:
This role requires the candidate design and implement an observability platform
to support event management,
event correlation, alerting/alarming, logging and visualizations for all
components within the EDP infrastructure
Private Cloud deployments.
The observability platform will collect, process and correlate loggings/alerts
and be designed to provide visibility
/ notifications depending on the severity. Working with the Compute, Network,
Storage and Platform IaaS
teams to define the teams requirements for logging/event/notifications and
designing and implementing the
interfaces to enable the platform.
Ability to customize the observability platform via code (i.e. Python) and work
with different notification
mediums (eMail, MS Teams), customized dashboards as required by the technology
teams.
Ability to use the observability platform to provide customized view for
customers on platform resources such
as customer virtual machines CPU and memory usage and historics with alerting
threshold specific to customer
requirements and collecting and provide KPI of customers systems health.
Requierements:
- The individual must have at least 5 years in the observability platform space,
with a hands-on engineering
background.
- The individual will also have a reasonable understanding in infrastructure
areas such as compute, virtualization
(hypervisor and k8s) and NAS storage and be able to deep dive into these
platforms event systems to ensure full
end to end infrastructure platform observability
- The ability and experience of working with DevOps teams to enable full
automated security lifecycle management, trace management, workflow logs.
- The individual should also be able to clearly communicate with peers and
architects, the ideas, designs and
document these topics clearly and in a professional readable manner including
diagrams
- Good English speaking/writing skills
