We are looking for a Lead Requirements Engineer (m/w/d) for OT/IT Convergence Requirements Engineering for our customer in (50%) und Berlin oder Brüssel (50%). In this role, the individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, validating and consolidating IT infrastructure requirements for IT-OT integration projects, including all lifecycle aspects of compute, network & storage services as well as security.This role is part of the project team consisting of 8 roles and in this role will be reporting to the project lead.

Your tasks
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT and OT teams, to elicit, analyze, and document IT infrastructure requirements for IT-OT integration projects.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement elicitation sessions to gather input from stakeholders and understand their needs and challenges.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collect, analyze and harmonize IT Infrastructure requirements specifications, documenting functional and nonfunctional requirements, use cases, and user stories in a clear and concise manner.
- Requirement Validation and Verification: Validate IT Infrastructure requirements through reviews, walkthroughs, and validation sessions with stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and feasibility.
- Verify that IT Infrastructure requirements are testable and measurable, developing acceptance criteria and verification plans to validate adherence to requirements.
- Furthermore, verify requirements through suggesting IT Infrastructure architecture by diagrams, illustrating topologies, protocols, configurations, and integration points.
- Collaborate with lead & domain architects of the current IT Infrastructure as well as EDP to ensure alignment between requirements and overall architecture & design.
Must have competences
- The individual must be at a mid-senior level in design & building IT Infrastructure, is part of the project team and needs collaboratively work together with different stakeholders of the client.
- IT Infrastructure Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS,
- DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
- Experience with network design, configuration, and troubleshooting in both wired and wireless
- environments.
- Proficiency in network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention
- systems, and network access control.

- Storage Technologies
- Strong understanding Lifecycle and Management Technologies for all infrastructure services
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical
- concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, OT, engineering, and
- project management teams.
- Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to understanding stakeholder needs and delivering
- solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure engineering or requirements engineering roles, preferably
- in the context of IT-OT integration projects.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or requirements engineering
- certifications, would be advantageous.
- At minimum. These are absolute requirements and must be met.
- Proven knowledge about networking technologies (routing, switching, load balancing, firewalling &
- network services)
- Certified in network technologies (e.g. CCNA)
- Proven experience in It Infrastructure assessment, design or transformation projects (at least 3 projects)
- Compute Virtualization Technologies
- Storage Technologies
- Strong understanding Lifecycle and Management Technologies for all infrastructure services
Nice to have competences
- Basic knowledge with Service Management processes (e.g. certified in ITIL Foundation)

The purpose of the project “Central Services (IT Infrastructure Services in Substations & Offshore Platform”[Analysis] is to analyze, verify, harmonize, consolidate and finalize (versioned) the requirements specification for IT infrastructure services based on a modern, consistent, centrally managed service approach, which comply with all safety as well as security regulations and simplify operation and maintenance for the client.
In light of the ongoing energy transition, a significant increase in the number of substations (on- and offshore) operated by client in Belgium and client in Germany is expected. Moreover, the grid is progressively being managed with increasingly sophisticated systems. Transitioning to a significantly more complex power grid
requires advanced IT infrastructure and modern substations which necessitates the consideration of IT and OT (operational technology) requirements.
The requirements specification developed by the project serves to ensure robust, stable, secure and, above all, predictable operation through efficient monitoring and logging as well as secure management of user identity and patching.
