Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Job Description:

As an IT Support Engineer at Ampstek, you will be an integral part of our IT team, responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees in Hamburg, Germany. You will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and in person.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Monitor and maintain IT systems, including network connectivity, security, and performance.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and support IT projects and initiatives.
Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Stay up-to-date with latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in providing IT support in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English and German languages.
Preferred Qualifications:

IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent.
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365.
Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Experience with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
