Hi,A client of mine in the Automotive Industry are looking for a Cyber Security Expert for a 12 months fully remote project. Below is a breakdown of the project details:
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and protocols for automotive systems, including embedded systems, in-vehicle networks, and connected car platforms.
2. Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats within automotive systems.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features into vehicle design and development processes.
4. Design and deploy intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) for automotive networks and electronic control units (ECUs).
5. Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to automotive cybersecurity.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (5+ years) in automotive cybersecurity or related field.
3. Deep understanding of automotive systems architecture, including CAN, Ethernet, and other in-vehicle networks.
4. Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations such as ISO/SAE 21434, SAE J3061, and UN Regulation No. 155.
5. Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewall systems, and cryptographic protocols.
