Design Manager for a pioneering project of a start-up for green steel production (6 to 12 months duration)Our client is planning the construction of an innovative green steel plant utilising pioneering technologies for sustainable production. The design and implementation of this project will be carried out in close collaboration with a leading EPCm and other specialised engineering firms.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and integration of the requirements and objectives of various internal departments with the external stakeholders, including the EPCm and other engineering firms
Monitoring and ensuring that design services are delivered in accordance with established schedules and budgets
Preparing and analysing data to track progress and make predictions on the delivery of service packages
Designing and establishing a structured design review process to ensure the quality, consistency and completeness of design deliverables
Leading cross-functional teams, including management and executives. This includes aligning resources and dependencies, coordinating activities and communicating project status and risks transparently
Working closely with the project management team to ensure that the design phases transition smoothly into the construction and implementation phases
Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the design process
Profile:
Degree in engineering, architecture or a related field
Proven experience in the coordination and management of design projects, ideally in the field of plant engineering or heavy industry
Strong communication and collaboration skills with various internal and external stakeholders
Sound knowledge of project management methods and tools

Duration: 6 – 12 months, 5 days per week
Location: Stockholm (Sweden), % onsite (partly remote)
Rate: 90 € + Flights and Hotel
