Java Programmer Analyst required for 6 month contract in Eindhoven.
JOB FUNCTION.
Estimate, design, specify and develop Java applications and components with moderate level of complexity based on detailed functional requirements.
Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
Prepare technical specifications and documentation for co-workers, users and support staff.
Provide guidance to other programmers and technical support staff.
React to problems and correct as necessary.
Evaluate and increase effectiveness of applications.
Continually maintain and update technical knowledge and skills by attending training (in-house or external), reading manuals and other sources.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer science/related discipline.
10+ years experience in system analysis, application development, and knowledge of industry best practices such as design patterns.
5-8+ years experience with relevant software engineering technology (Java JEE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, XML, HTML, Javascript/JQuery, Oracle, SQL, Weblogic). Knowledge of, and ability to adapt rapidly to, additional technologies is desirable.
UML diagrams and UML tools such as Enterprise Architect.
Experience with structured SDLC and work estimation techniques.

Tools: Eclipse, Toad, Visio, MS Project.
Logistics and supply chain experience preferred.
